After all the automatic discharge sequencing, automatic weighting systems, and automatic moisture compensation is completed, because of tolerances of each that are needed, the operator still needs a dependable concrete slump meter to indicate if the concrete has reached the target slump needed for the project, if the slump meter indicates it is a little dry, the operator can add needed water, if it is correct it can be discharged, or if a little to wet make adjustment to the next load being batched. Just plain and simple the better the Slump Meter being used the more consistent the concrete.. |
